Chicago artists to receive $1,000 each in unrestricted cash grant have been named.

$10,000 Grant Provided to Arts+Public Life in Chicago

The Board of Directors of the Darryl Chappell Foundation has approved a second year of emergency response funding for artists. We are pleased to announce that the Foundation will provide a grant of $10,000 to fund 10 local Chicago artists of African descent by partnering with Arts+Public Life, an initiative of UChicago Arts. Darryl Chappell Foundation Emergency Grant To Afrodescendant Artists

A rapid funding program providing cash grants to qualified artists through our partner organizations. Recently 25 artists were identified to receive $1,000 each through a partnership with the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MoCADA) and the Bronx Documentary Center (BDC).
